Counter-Terrorism Studies Executive Certificate Program

The Lauder School of Government, Diplomacy and Strategy and the Institute for Counter Terrorism (ICT), at the Interdisciplinary Center (IDC), are proud to open enrollment for the fourth and upcoming Counter-Terrorism Studies Executive Certificate Program in January/February 2007

This high-level, intensive program attracts an international group of practitioners, executives and scholars dealing with homeland security, most of whom have prior counter-terrorism experience and/or expertise. The program uses a multidisciplinary approach to address core issues fueling the global threat and offers keen insights and analyses of counter-terrorism efforts on multiple levels.
Taught in English by top experts from Israel and abroad, the six courses for the Winter ’07 term include:

Modern Terrorism and Counter-Terrorism Strategies
From Da'awa to Jihad
The Theater of Terror: Modern Terrorism, Media and the Internet
Terrorism and Extortion
Counter-Terrorism Issues and Challenges for Homeland Security
Counter-Terrorism and Human Rights: Legal Issues and Perspective

There will be the option to register for a special course on the topic of Arab Culture and Environment (brochure) in addition to the Executive Certificate Program.
The Counter-Terrorism Studies Executive Program combines academic study, simulation models and onsite briefings. It provides concentrated, in-depth exposure to the phenomenon of modern terrorism, its characteristics, modus operandi, scope and proliferation throughout the world.
The program has conducted three sessions, all crowned with resounding success. Participants and instructors were impressed by the caliber of the attendees and the quality of the material presented. The Counter-Terrorism Studies Executive Program creates an ideal atmosphere for practitioners and researchers from all over the world to meet one another, exchange ideas and build international, professional networks.
Designed in a modular way, participants have the flexibility to attend individual courses when necessary. However a minimum of 6 courses are required in order to obtain the full Executive Certification (See brochure for more details).
In light of the last course’s success and due to limited places, we encourage you to apply as soon as possible. For registration please click here.
